  • Special Adviser for Planning and Development
    • Keene Housing (KH) is a nationally recognized leader in housing policy reform and affordable housing development. KH is seeking a full-time Special Adviser for Planning and Development. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for writing and administering grants for development, acquisition, and/or redevelopment of affordable housing or other related development projects, including renewable energy. The Special Adviser for Planning and Development provides strategic, topical, and operational guidance and hands-on implementation.

    The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school or 5 years combination of education and experience preferably in affordable housing, community development, or a similar field. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading grant proposals with a focus on clarity, detail, and accuracy. Familiarity with federal, state, and local housing and community development programs (e.g., HUD, CDBG, HOME, LIHTC) is preferable, but not required.

  • Payroll and Benefits Specialist – Salary Range: $64,264.25-$92,994.15
    • The Payroll and Benefits Specialist prepares and delivers the Corporation’s payroll and benefits administration. The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will ensure the accurate processing and recording of our bi-weekly payroll for all employees utilizing a third-party vendor system, ADP Workforce Now. This includes monitoring and maintaining accurate payroll and benefit records, maintaining employee records, processing payroll and benefit payments, and providing customer service to employees regarding payroll and benefit issues. The specialist must also ensure payroll and benefits compliance with applicable laws and regulations and provide accurate and timely reports to the Director of Human Resources. In addition, the Payroll and Benefits Specialist will work with benefit plan vendors, process benefit elections, and serve on the Human Resources team. They will maintain effective communication channels with their team members and provide excellent customer service to all employees throughout the organization. This position requires excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Executive Director – The primary purpose of this position is to provide overall leadership and direction to the Brookline Housing Authority and its employees to fulfill the Authority’s mission. This position is directly responsible to the Board of Commissioners for the overall management of the business and affairs of the Authority.
